STUDY CONCLUSION
Acute Oral Toxicity Study in Swiss Albino Mice. (OECD Guidelines No. 423) Classified as category 5 or unclassified per the Globally Harmonized system of classification and labelling of Chemicals (GHS). LD50 value is > 2000 to ≤ 5000 mg/kg body weight with an LD50 cut off value 5000 mg/kg body weight.
Acute Oral Toxicity Study in Wister Rats. (OECD Guidelines No. 423) For rat LD50 value is > 2000mg/kg body weight with an LD50 cut off value 5000 mg/kg body weight and MAGNet®LN was classified according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) as category 5 or unclassified.
Acute Dermal Toxicity Study in Wister Rats. (OECD Guidelines No. 402) Gross pathology conducted at the end of 14 – day observation period did not reveal any macroscopic lesion. The acute dermal toxicity of impregnated Long Lasting Mosquito Bed Net (MAGNet®LN containing alpha-cypermethrin in New Zealand white rabbit (male and female) is >2000 mg/kg body weight. Hence MAGNet®LN is not classified or categorized according to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
Acute Dermal Irritation/Corrosion Study in New Zealand White Rabbits (OECD Guidelines No. 404) The primary skin irritation potential MAGNet®LN of Impregnated Long Lasting Mosquito Bed Net was tested in New Zealand White rabbits and was found to be non-irritant under experimental conditions.
Irritation to Mucus membrane. Study in New Zealand White Rabbits (OECD Guidelines No. 405) MAGNet®LN is a non-irritant to the Mucus membrane of New Zealand White rabbits with single ocular instillation as per Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
